Why participate? 

This research addresses significant knowledge gaps, particularly in the UK, about the most appropriate approaches to delivering gender-affirming healthcare for trans+ adults. 

To identify inequalities by area, an online questionnaire asks closed-ended (quantitative) questions to develop a bigger-picture understanding of generalised experiences while also asking open-ended (qualitative) questions for a deeper understanding of individual experiences. 

In October 2025, this work will be developed through a PhD focussing on the impact of geographical inequalities in the provision and practice of gender-affirming care for trans+ adults and recommendations for improving these services.

Unlike many studies, this research is led by a transgender, neurodivergent researcher. A steering group will inform subsequent research.
